A Thrilling Conclusion Awaits at Poverty Reef!

James Robertson

The final day of the Easter 3 Days promises to be an unforgettable conclusion to the long weekend of competition. Set in the heart of Tarnagulla, Day 3 will see competitors race through the fast and open terrain that is typical of the Central Victorian box-ironbark forests.

As you make your way through the course, you’ll be surrounded by remnants of the area’s mining history that made a few Welshmen very well off (despite the name) — alluvial creeks, reef cuttings, shafts, tunnels, and the remains of old mining ruins. These relics add a sense of adventure to the course, blending the thrill of orienteering with a historical exploration of the past.

Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a first-time participant, Day 3 will offer the perfect blend of speed and challenge to wrap up the Easter weekend in style. The final day promises to be a fitting conclusion to one of the most exciting orienteering events on the Australian calendar.
